Pretoria, 18 July 2019

L oftus Versfeld was abuzz for Mandela Day 2019. LFP Group together with the Vodacom Blue Bulls and 2019’s Miss South Africa finalists hosted local children’s charities and schools at a much-anticipated fun day.

The fun day saw 220 kids from Reach for a Dream, Carte Blanche Trust and Uniefees Primary in attendance; each foundation received a donation from LFP Group, with a total of R675 000 being donated.

Children were entertained with arts and crafts activities, a custom Vodacom Blue Bulls jumping castle, food and drinks throughout the day as well as dancing and hoola hooping competitions alongside the Miss South Africa finalists and the Bulls Babes. Each little girl was made to feel like a princess, receiving a custom LFP sash signed by the Miss South Africa and Vodacom Blue Bulls players.

A-list media from YOU/ Huisgenoot, All4Women, Pretoria News, GrootFM and Daily Sun (amongst others) were in attendance and spent the day engaging with LFP, the Miss South Africa finalists and the Vodacom Blue Bulls ahead of Currie Cup 2019.

This event once again addressed the critical need for strong role models for children in South Africa. Nthabiseng Phoshoko, Commercial Director for LFP Group says that in tough times, we need someone to look up to as a positive leader for our country. “LFP firmly believes that we are responsible for choosing who we look up to and that what makes a role model different is what makes them strong”.
