KEVIN LERENA SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDS IBO CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE

B acked by the LFP Group, Kevin Lerena successfully defended his IBO Cruiserweight Championship Belt for the fifth time, against Macedonian Sefer Seferi at Emperor’s Palace on Saturday Night.

It only took the impressively conditioned Lerena three rounds to defeat Seferi and be once again declared champion.

AMENDMENTS TO B-BBEE SECTOR CODES AND WHY THESE SHOULD MATTER TO YOU

U nder the B-BBEE Act, recent Amendments have been made to the Defense Sector Code and Chartered Accountancy (CA) Sector Code. With Preferential Procurement forming a crucial part of the BEE scorecard, LFP Group’s Company Secretary and Compliance Manager, Shawn Swiegers says that Amendments to Sector Codes affect any business procuring from companies within these sectors. “Preferential Procurement makes up 23% of your overall BEE scorecard,”

S ince the implementation of BEE in 2003, there have been many high-profile cases of companies found to have faked their BEE credentials and many who have failed their verification audits for other reasons. The unfortunate reality is that faked credentials is not a victimless crime.
